Stuart Forrest is the CEO of Triggerfish Animation, and producer of 2 of Africa’s most successful film exports, Adventures in Zambezia and Khumba. He co-founded non-profits Animation SA and Animate Africa, is the director of the Triggerfish/DTI/Disney Story Lab, is a regular judge on the International Emmy’s, and has given talks around the world on storytelling for an international audience. Triggerfish Animation Studios is one of the most widely distributed film studios in the emerging markets. Through licensing deals with over 60 distributors, their original films have been released in thousands of cinemas and 27 languages around the world, selling millions of tickets. In collaboration with the Oscar-nominated Magic Light Pictures, they’ve also animated the hit BBC Christmas adaptations of Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s Stick Man, Roald Dahl’s Revolting Rhymes and most recently Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s Zog.
