Clyde Beech

Clyde Beech is a Cape Town born visual artist and storyteller. Even though grew up on the Cape Flats he worked diligently towards his dream of becoming a professional artist. 

He now specialises in comic book art, sequential visual storytelling and animation concept art and development. He is a skilled digital artist with a skill-set that includes illustration, digital painting, concept art and creative directing. He’s worked on and contributed to the development of some of the top comic books in the country, such as South Africa’s favourite super hero comic, Kwezi, as well as the widely distributed soccer comic, Supa Strikas on which he was both a lead artist and Art Director; more recently he was the colour artist for Triggerfish’s Graphic Novel, Pearl of the Sea. Clyde is also the Co-writer and Artist for the SuperScientist “Dig In” Comic book, which is currently being developed into animated show, with the pilot presently in production. He’s worked with various brands and studios both locally and internationally, with a vast array of published work.

 Clyde’s ultimate goal is to inspire and build a viable platform and infrastructure for future artists and creatives in South Africa.
